Quality and Training

Universal Cargo has two internal programs of constant improvement

Our Internal Quality Program (IQP) contemplates the following components:
  • Monthly quality meetings.
  • Training programs.
  • Claims Ratios and Statistical Reports.
  • Corrective Action Plans and Improvement Opportunities.

The certification includes packing, unpacking, conditioning, loading and unloading, storage, cargo protection, transportation, custom clearance and international household goods and personal effects forwarding.

This was the previous step for the FAIM certification granted by FIDI (FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE DE DEMENAGEURS INTERNATIONAUX) headquartered in Brussels. FIDI, the most established moving federation in the world, has developed the highest quality standards in our business. Its aim is to achieve a unique quality control system for all FIDI members.

The system tests all the aspects of our business. The following ones are checked independently: customer satisfaction, cash flow, credit history, filing system and review of our equipment and vehicles.

Universal Cargo promotes the constant training of its personnel

The courses taught at Universal Cargo are focused on one of these areas
  • Customer service and communication.
  • Language training.
  • Basic Wrapping and Non-Allowables.
  • Packing, loading/unloading and transportation of bulky/fragile items.

In addition to the aforementioned, almost 100% of our administrative staff is bilingual (Spanish – English) and we are also fluent in German, French and Portuguese.
