A few tips before moving to Mexico

• A returning Mexican citizen or a foreign permanent resident must have their import documents (visaed inventories) approved after a mínimum 6 months living abroad.
• Visaed inventories are only valid for 6 months after issued date.

According to the mexican laws, in order to be able to import houshold goods and personal effects free of import duties, the followinbg rules must be followed.

• The goods must have been used for at least six months and are not intended for resale.
• All articles must be included in the inventory visaed by the mexican consulate. Brand, model and serail numbers of electrical appliances must be declared on this list.
• Mexican citizens or permanent residents CAN NOT import cars.
